W. Smith Jr. Elementary School Beta Club Performing Group members were afforded the opportunity to attend the National Beta Convention held in Nashville, Tenn., winning 7th place in the Performing Groups Elementary Category.
Families and sponsors began a quest to raise money to attend, and sponsors began their long journey of practicing to enhance dance moves in order to compete at the national level, immediately after the state competition.
The Superstars performed to the song “Me Too,” by Meghan Trainor. The performers in attendance included Mi’Chaelyn Alexander, Kylee Hazel, Terrionne Brazil, and Lily Suazo. Over 20 schools competed in this category.
The attending sponsors Brittany Torres, Cara Clasen, and Alexandra Casarez stated, “Our performing arts girls continued to shine and showed hard work and dedication truly pays off. Watching these four girls come together and strive for excellence makes our entire journey rewarding!”
