At its March 8 meeting, The Kiwanis Club of St. Bernard was blessed to have Kids to the Rescue as their guest speaker. Kids to the Rescue is a non-profit organization inspired by the kids in our community. Over the past year Kids to the Rescue donated 550 pairs of shoes to the Battered Women’s Shelter, passed out bagged lunches during Hurricane Ida, and gave out goody bags to the children at Children’s Hospital. Today, Kids to the Rescue donated over 1,000 books to the Kiwanis Club for children in need to read.
