On Jan. 4, 2022, at the weekly Arabi-St. Bernard Kiwanis Club Luncheon at Rocky and Carlo’s Restaurant, the Spirit of St. Bernard Foundation presented 23 checks totaling $26,400 to scholarship recipients. Â
Each year Kiwanis presents a growing number of St. Bernard Parish students with scholarships to colleges and universities from a number of different funds and organizations. In July 2022, the Arabi-St. Bernard Kiwanis Club and Spirit of St. Bernard Foundation plans to disburse an additional $38,900 in scholarship stipends. In 2022, the total disbursement of scholarship stipends will exceed $65,000. Â
Students interested in competing for these scholarships should inquire at their high school counselor’s office.
