It was a beautiful day on the river to gather for Old Arabi Bar’s 2nd annual crawfish cookoff that was held on Saturday April 9. This year the event benefited the Louisiana National Guard Child and Youth Program.
Six teams competed in the cookoff — 1st place, Tail Blazers; 2nd place, D.E.C.M.O (Don’t Ever Count Me Out), and 3rd place, CGTLEA (New Orleans Coast Guard). The peoples choice award was won by The Boys.
OAB passed along a special thanks to all of the vendors who came out, the bands — Cypress Pop Trio and Rick Mocklin and The Southern Voice Band, and to the judges of the crawfish cookoff — Roger Hyver, Denis Ricou, Rosanna Sanchez, Alan Fontenelle and Lisa Lowe.
