Third grade teachers at Our Lady of Prompt Succor challenged their students to record their minutes read at home, as well as daily reading challenges in the classroom as part of their own version of March Madness.Â
At the end of March, the third-grade students earned 452.5 AR points. They had read 953 books and read for a grand total of 18,161 minutes.Â
Students earned tickets for turning in their reading log and passing AR tests. The tickets were used in a raffle to win a $10 McDonald’s gift card. Winners were Braylie Wininger in Beth Lauga’s class and Emily Deano in Amber Loposser’s class.
